Karate, rugby, rowing and then running. My life is constantly moving.
The “spectacular obstacles" to be overcome can be mountains and deserts to be crossed running, but the obstacles of life, those of everyday life, can be much more tiring, even because repeated by everyday life: motivation, will, and a quality of life that makes balance in giving us that extra gear, they can be the real recipe for overcoming big and small mountains of life .. Aiming at the goal, "planning" as athletes in preparation can be the winning key for each of us.
Discipline, determination, commonality of purpose, sharing, challenge to the resistance that results in ultra-endurance. This and much more I have learned and I am learning living in sports. I sweated a life for my Olympic dream, to stay close to my family in a difficult moment I had to change direction. Sport is my "modus vivendi".
Starting from 5km step by step I arrived at 100Km! And with this distance I have dressed two blue jerseys, the 2011 World Championship in the Netherlands and the 2013 European Championships in France. Running I then discovered my true Love, the Ultra Trail. In July 2015 the biggest challenge, the Alpe Adria Trail 735.5km / 35750D + / 142H4 ': "and it's Record"! In September 2015 the Tor Des Geants, for the Ferrino Team, unfortunately suspended due to extreme weather conditions.
"Where can I get there?". I ask myself every time I leave the house. I travel because I cannot do without it, I look for human contact, I want to know, meet, know more. I dive into all that the territory and its inhabitants can offer me, to give meaning and a value to my exploring by running. I look for extreme challenges, which test my resistance and my limit, taking care of every detail because nothing catches me unprepared.
"There is no good or bad weather, but only good or bad equipment", said the founder of scouting Lord B.P.
The pungent air of the mountain, the smell of the forest, the salty on the skin, the thoughts in the mind, the effort that runs through me. I could not do without it. That my shoes trample sand, rock, earth, snow, ice, my world is out ... As my grandmother used to tell me: "Water is wet for you and the wind dries you".
Running has no season, has no climatic impediments, is not restricted to particular times. Whether in summer or winter, in the rain or the sun, at sunrise or sunset, everyone can carve out their own space to put on shoes and grind Km and difference in height. When running and training is also a job and competitions are part of one's life, careful training planning is required, as well as a meticulous treatment of everything that acts as a "contour": diet, health, choice of 'clothing etc.
All this becomes a wonderful daily life when accompanying us in training there is the right company and the inevitable enthusiasm that characterizes the lovers of the Trail. Trying to believe, even the most tiring workout can become a moment that you wait anxiously for the whole week.
